Just about to point that one out myself.

Who would have thought that 4 weeks in Saints would not be in the top 4 and Wire/Goons & Dulls would not even be in the 8. I appreciate not everyone has played the same ammount of games but if you asked everyone on these forums at the start of the season what would the table look like nobody would have got anywhere near to what it is now.

I know this is all way too early in the season to talk about but just imagine Wakey and Cas in the final, next 2 years we finsih in top 4 but due to the credit crunch none of us have a new stadium what do you think the RFL would do?

Well done Cas nice to see you getting back maybe we will have 2 great games this year. :D

A great performance today.

There was an intensity early on, we looked fast at the play the ball, ran strongly and tackled hard. Shenton and Sherwin were outstanding. I believe we will also have an unsung hero this year in the shape of Stuart Jones. Adds steel to the pack. A very astute buy.

Aye, first thing i did when i got home was "knock one out".

Another fan not getting carried away with it all, but happy that we look like a decent SL side. Most encouraging for me was our defense. Ok we let in some tries, but we hit hard and got amongst them and didn't let them play. The way we started the game was fantastic and we had it won in no time. Shifty yet again showing he's the difference with classy passing to set up tries or guide us around the park. Goldies try was good to watch and he certainly looks like he's in for a top season. Hard to single anyone out really because everyone is playing well, and for each other. Sarge putting in some big hits again and Faumuina's was a monster hit. A great game all round for everyone at Cas, not so for Salford.

Good luck Salford for the rest of the season. We know only too well what you will be feeling at this point.

I thought it was a great performance from Cas last night, for the first time in goodness knows how long we managed to back up a good performance at Wigan with another one. It is important we don't get carried away as it is still early doors, but the signs are extremely positive.
I can't honestly remember the last time I felt that buzz around Wheldon Road, it is nice to feel optimistic for a change.
Hopefully we can do the unthinkable and win 3 Super League games on the bounce next week in France. (How long since that happened?)

George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."

Everone did play well. But I cant understand why TM prefers to play a second row, in the halves in place of a quality player like Rangi Chase. I know he is playing well. But surely he would be betterputting them both on the field.

I was thinking exactly the same! Faumuina played like a back rower anyway so why not put him in the back row and have Rangi Chase on from the start. I reckon him and Sherwin could form a pretty strong partnership.

Have to say Sherwin was outstanding. Absolutely gutted he wasn't able to play against Quins cos with him in the side we'd have won that one and be sitting at the top of the table with 3 wins out of 3!

As has been said earlier, everyone played well but I was particularly impressed with our centres. Shenton looked international class tonight - strong defence, deceptively fast when he breaks, good footwork and great hands to release his support players. And Dixon put some crucial tackles in when Salford looked like breaking through and kicked 8 from 9 goals - lets hope he can start kicking like that every week! :D

:FRUSRATED: He wouldn't pass again, even on the last tackle when he had plenty of opportunities to pass he still wouldn't.
We need to keep shifty :SHIFTY: wrapped in cotton wool this year.
Dean Widders, anyone else think he reminds you of Jeff Hardy.
