It would surprise me if the coach didn't expect the players to be responsible for their environment, it's key to creating the culture and attitude you need to be successful.

Exactly this! Discipline. I remember seeing a clip of Cooper Cronk going round tidying the changing room.

The lad needs to move clubs to get game time and test himself at SL level. Walker is going to get better and then we'll start to have the next crop of youngsters coming through - Tindall and Stephens might be ready to fill in occasionally next year, or maybe Broadbent.

I'm mulling over where we might need strengthening in light of recent performances.

We could do with knowing what SL is going to do with the third Marquee ruling, and if it went through I'd use it for a prop or a 7.

We'd have to release a NFT player to bring Maloney in and he'd count as OQ and NFT, I'd imagine it'd be Cuthbertson or Peteru who we let go if we was able to land Maloney.

I hope decisions are made looking at form over the last two years as a whole. Cuthbertson starting to show some form now needs to be weighed against the fact he hasn't stood up at all until now. Peteru may not be a world beater but he seemed to have more of a dig when we weren't playing well.

I am not at all impressed with players who turn it on when it suits them and then coast the rest of the time.

I don’t know enough about Cuthbertson’s situation - maybe he has been struggling with injuries throughout, maybe Agar’s coaching and the style he wants him to play has something to do with it.

The club has to make the call - but we should absolutely get rid of anyone who has not been giving their best all year.

One thing nobody’s mentioned is whether Merrin might still be the swap for Maloney. I know he’s captain and has been producing consistent quality, but if the right NRL offer comes in for him it could end up being a pretty straight marquee swap. That was the rumoured structure of the Maloney deal a couple of months back.

Ideally we retain Merrin and add a half, whether Sezer or Maloney (seeing as we’ve definitely missed out on Hastings).
