Surprised they haven't announced it by now. Still think it's Watkins and even promo pictures for the WCC are of Cam Smith (the Aussie one) and Watkins. Can't be too far off knowing as the usual new season starting media will begin soon with the usual picture of all captains with the SL trophy.

Is either player up for a contract renewal? Could explain the delay in announcement if they are waiting for the player they want to sign a contract extension

Think they both have long term deals but they've only just started pre-season training. There is no hurry to name a captain im sure.

I guess that it's possible the decision has been made and announced internally, but is being kept under wraps for now.
