As the Toulouse versus Sheffield match is now underway, any further entrants this week will only be marked on the remaining five fixtures. Still lots of points to play for, and what do points mean? Errrm,.....still working on that.

Go Leythe tomorrow!

Okey-dokey. Top turn-out of a dozen good souls this last round. A belated but warm welcome to Wanderer who joined us for the last five matches and a welcome back to Cokey & Vancouver Leyther after a week’s absence. Also finally deigning to grace us with their presence were, a quinzejour later than advertised, The Hornets (much good did it do them!)

For the third week of three there was one result that caught everybody out and sadly, for the second time amongst those, Leigh have ended up at the smelly end of the stick. So no Pokemon “Gotta Catch ‘em All” bonus for anyone. Also yet to be awarded, after 128 predictions, is an exact score bonus. Perhaps the points return for these hen’s teeth should be revised upward?

Atomic got off to a flyer in the Toulouse game with this week’s only correct margin.

The attendance at Barrow was 1,991. No one guessed within 25 of that but LeytherX111, Charlie Caroli & Jack Diggle got within 50 and The Publican & Bongser within 100.

Ok guys you've all had a start. I'm coming to get you....

Well true to his word, LeytherX111 was both biggest climber & joint weekly winner alongside Charlie (14) and so it’s 25 extra points each for that. So to the standings: Threatening to overhaul Elvis for most weeks at Nº1 it’s

1. Charlie Caroli – 85, then
2. Bongser - 59
3. LeytherX111 – 39
4. Zulu01 – 31
5. Atomic – 30
6. (Joint) Cokey & Westleighjim – 18
8. Vancouver Leyther - 16
9. The Publican – 11
10. (Joint) Jack Diggle, SaBadSel & Wanderer – 9

If (reminiscent of HRJ revealing his hairiest surface at The Turnpike) you find the visualisation of Charlie streaking out in front of you as abhorrent as does your correspondent, remember to tune in for the next thrilling instalment of Weekly Prediction League. Due the the bonus Bongser has in mind, next week’s posers will be published after the 19s for the Toulouse match are.

Re: Weekly Prediction League? : Fri Feb 23, 2018 1:55 pm
Well, this Sunday Les Olympiques come to LSV. Will Leigh’s season go further downhill with another toe-curling defeat or will our boys repeatedly slalom through their defence? Here are this round’s puntables:

Batley XX-XX Barrow
Dewsbury XX-XX Swinton
Featherstone XX-XX Sheffield
London XX-XX Toronto
Rochdale XX-XX Halifax
Leigh XX-XX Toulouse

Bonus Question: At the END of the match, thirteen of the seventeen will be occupying playing positions be they on the field, in the bin or in the “early bath”. Name the other four for two points a pop, get them all and receive another five points. Four names only per entrant, please.

Entries before 3pm on Sunday!
Go Leythe!!
