Yeah let's see how it goes, sounds familiar doesn't it.
Tony Rea - 'Give him a chance, let's see how it goes'. Rob Powell - 'Give him a chance, let's see how it goes'. Joe Grima - 'Give him a chance, let's see how it goes'. Andrew Henderson - 'Give him a chance, let's see how it goes'. Dan Ward - 'Give him a chance, let's see how it goes'.
Always the cheap option and always the same result. But hey let's see how it goes.
As I thought he took it as far as his ability allowed. That was obvious with the up and down season we had last year. There was no way he was going to over come Toronto, Leigh and possibly TO. He has found his level, No 2 joint with Briers at Warrington. One things for sure fitness wont win you SL. He will get the opportunity to potentially see how smart coaches out wit there counterparts not just beating PT teams by being fitter.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Not really sure what inward looking parochial northern view has to do with a Wendy ball manager appointment but hey. So what's the other response the appointment appointment of a coach? If you are not going to give the bloke a chance then does that mean you are not going to support the club any more?

Many fans "follow" the club and attend games throughout the season sporadically. Appointments like this one will drive their numbers up whilst the number of regular fans will go in the opposite direction! I would say that this appointment means that the SL dream is over and that Mr Hughes is attempting to build something that will cost him less but still give both him enjoyment and the youngsters a pathway in the game......but maybe I am wrong.
