Really can`t see you having enough to get close to Wire, I think this so called "Good form" is a bit false, you have beaten Widnes and a Wigan side that could not fight there way out of a paper bag at the moment and you couldn't even win those two convincingly.

FWIW I've predicted a win for you on your board and a win for us on ours. I'm not being totally duplicitous here but I really think that it's a 50/50 call, we were well beaten last year and if you can get firing I think that you are a dangerous side particularly at home (based on perception rather than pure stats).

From our POV, we were great against Wigan recently and 'unpredictable' against Cas the week after, some saying it was due to the effort the previous week although I'm not so sure. Our 19 looks decent with only Currie missing I think. Our issue and probably not uncommon with you, or other teams apart from Saints and Widnes, is not knowing which 17 will turn up

Good luck for the rest of the season apart from this weekend of course :-)

I bet you wish that Widnes and top 4 were used in the same sentence (apart from this one)

I didn't actually realise how close the league is, despite Salford being on poor form. A win last night puts them only 2 wins behind us.

A poor run in form can easily see us in the middle 8's come then end of the season.

Regarding the closeness of the league, either Shudds or Catalan will be breathing right down our necks after tonight.
Despite being in the box seat, the battle to avoid 8th could get very tight indeed.

It will be a huge relief when we are safe and we can concentrate on getting as high up the league as possible.
Right now any side from 6th or lower could end up in the "qualifiers".
We could have done with Widnes beating Salford last night, although Salford have now played 18 (2 more than Trinity).

Our points difference (+26) could be crucial.

Saints beating Leeds would be good for us too :D

Does anyone really think this guy is a Widnes fan.

He's not, he's just another incarnation of the many multi personality trolls that the Mods allow to run rampant on here. And please lets not hear the IP argument, I only work on the fringes of IT and even I know of at least three ways around that one.

Great comeback and 2nd half but, ultimately, Warrington blew us away for the first 15 mins and we were left with too much to do (though only just)
Kyle Wood take a bow, almost won us the game and Max Jowitt seemed to come of age today, with two superb 1 on 1 tackles and some great work besides, coming into the line to assist for Johnstones try, plus plenty more.
Our pack totally bossed the second half and with some stronger defence on the edges, we could have won.
Great effort and roll on Widnes next week.

Unfortunately the true Wakefield Team only turned uo for the second half. A very poor 1st half lost it for us.
