If anything, when we got the ball back, was it Miller that moved ball out to Lyne, maybe a kick and chase over top would have been a better option

With 25 seconds on the clock and needing to go 75 yards, Lynne is the last player on the field you want the ball to go to. He seems to find his way into touch from no matter where he receives the ball. Similar to Finns penalty at Newcastle v Shudds, it ended the game with a major anticlimax.

Easy mistake to make. I usually have to rely on the numbers on the backs of their shirts to differentiate between Pauli and Hampshire.

Ultimately gave our selfs too much to do in the second half ,it was like watching a spaghetti western The good the bad and the ugly all wrapped up into eighty minutes .
After the first half I had Warrington down for a half century ,but whatever was said in the dressing room sure did the trick ,Chester wants to give that speech before kick off next time and we’ll sail through .
Just a few pointers that baffles me ,why did we always kick off to the best pair of hands on the field and not a prop, and why did woody get subbed when he got us on the front foot .
I’m sure the more knowledgeable brains on here will fill me in .
If we could bottle that second half performance we’d not be far off the top of the pile.
This is why this squad draws such heated debates ,we know they have it in em it’s just getting it onto the pitch.

When Lyne joined us from Hull wasn't he rated as one of the fastest players in Super League? He has bulked up somewhat since then though.

Maybe also a bit of respect to the Wakefield team regarding the will of taking the 2.

Always come out of their half with at least a point.

An old coaching viewpoint when you are up against good opponents, when you expect a hard and close fought game

Yes we were poor first half and to me starting with Pauli is a mistake.

However the reason we lost it was poor tactics. I believe they scored 8 pts by taking the kick at goal.

We turned down at least two chances of an easy kick when we were 8 pts behind and the plays we did lead to nothing. Smarter tactics would have got us a draw at the very least

with the first couple of their penalty kick, I think they would have actually scored tries if they had run the ball, especially the play when Jowitt gave a penalty under our sticks. We were on our backsides and they chose not to run it ???

I know that they won by just 2 points but, that's life.

Really enjoyed our comeback though and even in defeat, there was plenty to enjoy yesterday.
