Something I can’t quite put my finger on with Kelepi , when he burst onto the scene he was skittling players for fun , but the last few years has seen a marked drop in his performances . Coaching , fitness may well have played a part in that along with our shoddy attacking/defensive structures . If he does stop I’m sure Powell will get him firing on all cylinders again , or just may see him as a luxury ,and use his wage to bring a couple of players in or even a replacement overseas player to take his place .
Think the thing that killed Kelepi was our Coaches, tried to make him in to prop ,some will say they had no choice because of injury to players out injured So to me it was down to Coaches who were pushing players back too soon .Kelepi is a S L player. And will be a big loss .As far as is fitness is concerned ,could be like T J moved to better club ,injury free most of season

Personally, I think he's a prop. If you compare his good games in second row to Griffin he doesn't do enough to be a blockbusting second row people think he is.
Some say he is a prop, however he has had some of his better games in SR in my opinion. I even remember early on he had a spell at centre and was absolutely devastating and looked the best centre at the club. I think Chester pushed him to Prop , but that was typical Chester he even tried to push Batch into playing prop too.
Words you don't often hear but I agree with Pop Tart. Kelepi was our most destructive runner so perfect to have him running out wide in the second row. From what I saw he never seemed to have the appetite to come looking for work or demanding the ball, we would go several sets without him touching it. With his destructive running we needed him on the ball in every set. So I get why coaches would be thinking to put him at prop to get him ball in hand more. Plus I also think that his hands are not the best so again a better option to play him at prop. It was frustrating having him in the second row as we just wanted him demanding the ball, it was a bit like Paulie Paulie who could go missing for several sets . When we had Rocky I just wanted PP to follow Rocky.
Hoorah.we managed to get “Rocky” into the rumours thread!
Signings going well in fact paid to go into Hospitality today Season tickets out next week, so put my money in the club for next season. But my main concern is we still seem slow down the spine of the team .Think that cost us S L last year .Think Rocky will stay at Wigan ,Think they have just let a half go ,so think that puts that one to bed

I agree he was played at prop and for me that spoiled what he was - a hard running SR forward. To me with his speed he’s still a SR all day long .

We certainly can’t go into the season with only Gale and Lino as halfback options. Even last season we had Morgan Smith. We need to a quality half who can organise from somewhere.
There was mention of Riley Dean. Could be an option.

Maybe taking. SL Dream Team Second Rower and playing him at prop week after week took its toll on his body, mind & game
