Briscoe and Holmes represent good solid signings who will improve us (not difficult) We will find it difficult to capture top quality federation players as most of the deals would have been done before the new investment was is in place unless we pay transfer fees. Asiata is a major coup but we need a couple more statement signings preferable a hooker and half back.

It's amusing to see, wait until we have a decent team together and a coach in place, if they're getting twitchy now when we're crap it's going to be hilarious when some better players are coming in.

Would be a great signing for a year but sounds like he's more likely to stay down under or go back to Catalans.

So that's 4 key positions to recruit for with probably 3 quota spots.

Ideally I'd try and get a uk prop and release Sao giving us 4 quota spots for those position.

If we could add in the likes of
Niu
O Sullivan
Woolford
Allick

Think we might have the funds to pay a transfer fee too.

Signing someone like Whitehead or Sutton gives us options too.

Back up centre Chamberlain, Hall or Hodgson

Hooker (not sure who is out there) unless we go with Smith/Cator/Hodgson

Those 4 need to be big players.

We aren't going to challenge for trophies, but if next season we could challenge for the top 6 I'd ne happy with the progress.

I think it has already been ruled out but Whitehead would be a great signing for a year. Like Asiata he's a leader something we have been lacking in abundance for years. Signing Whitehead would leave us more options to utilise the quota places. It will never happen so I'm just wasting my time discussing it!

Be a brilliant signing for a year, would mean we wouldn't need to use an overseas spot on a quota player.

Still a very good player.

Be tough to beat Catalans to his signature though.
