Sounds great, I really liked the last two games, anyone else looking forward to this release?
As for the planned improvements, they sound good, not too bothered about SL v NRL, we all know either SL players will be overrated or they we be battered for the first few years. Interclub-Challenge sounds interesting, and I hope the other cups affect who enters the world cup/four nations.
As for the transfer system, thank god for that! I found it weird when there were next to no transfers in any club but the one you picked, this should make it a lot more interesting. Would like to see a sort of "club loyalty" stat which dictates how likely they are to switch clubs, as well as the moral; and also maybe a bit of negotiations on the signing front, and make players usually sign for the next season! Its a very rare occurance that a player will move halfway through a season (therefore should cost more), never mind Thurston popping over to Celtic in one day
NRL correct system - good, makes sense, again with the lower leagues. Not too bothered about a lower calibre, however I am sure some will appreciate it having their team in, and maybe it will make up the rest of the Serbian squad etc.
54 limit should go, just increase how much it comprimises training.
Player attribute allocation and star/calibre allocations, as well as academy system. At the moment a thing I really dislike is the lack of progression in younger players. Its weird having a player in your academy suddenly become one of the best players in the world over night, and also players like Tomkins, Eastmond, Myler etc, only ever being as good as they are at the start of the game, they should be allowed to progress through the ranks, become great players at their peak, and then drop of physically later on (Lockyer). Each position should have a sort of rough curve they follow like in other games, with injury knocking them off course or possibly exeeding their expected progression, only for a sharper fall in form/ability in the future (Fielden), which stops your team becoming instantly great in your 2nd season, and also promotes the balance between experience and youth.
As for the stars/abilities, I would like to see a few different "bonus abilities" other than the ones we have, as it doesn't really allow for as much variation as could be possible with just the Enigmatic, Inspirational, Resolute, Intimidating.
I would like to see some new ones like this, so here is a list of ones I could think of off the top of my head:
ENI - Enigmatic - causes multiple players to hesitate when this player attacks.
INS - Inspirational - causes nearby players to be immune to ENI, INT.
INT - Intimidating - Causes single player to hesitate when player attacks or defends.
RES - Resolute - Personally immune to ENI, INT.
SUP - Support Player - Backs up breaks very well, oftne offloaded to, unlikely to drop ball when passed to during a line break.
WRK - Workhorse - Low stamina does not affect player performance, tackles more often than other players.
ORG - Organiser - Makes the best decisions in passing, better kicking game, mistakes made rarely, ?
IMP - Impact Player - Stamina does not last as long as other players and affects performance more, however ENI and INT present when at high stamina, more likely to takle bust.
FLY - Flyer - Unlikely to be caught once breaking free, can run at top speed for longer periods of time, and finishes flowing moves the best.
INV - Inventive - Will use some moves other players do not, more likely to chip and collect, throw longer passes etc, even if not quite skilled enough.
So the positions you would generally match to these attributes could be something like:
FB - ENI, INS, RES, SUP, FLY, INV
WG - INS, RES, SUP, FLY
CE - ENI, INS, RES, FLY
SO - ENI, INS, RES, SUP, ORG, INV
SH - ENI, INS, RES, SUP, ORG, INV
HK - ENI, INS, INT, RES, ORG, IMP
PR - INS, INT, RES, WRK, IMP
SR - INS, INT, RES, WRK, IMP
LF - ENI, INT, RES, WRK, INV
Ah well, boredom causes this sort of thing to happen, any thoughts on what you would like to see from further RLM games, thoughts on the upcoming one?
