On the biggest change after returning to the Union code: "It's the first time I've been cold for seven years. I was never cold playing rugby league."

Got to say it,after the back half of last season and the first few weeks of this,i was rapidly loosing faith in him as a first team coach.I was hoping he'd would prove me and a few others i know wrong, and i think he may be doing just that. And i love it!
Whats our views on him now?

My view on Sandercock, which hasn't changed since you signed him, is that he is very similar to Peter Gentle. Very knowledgable and knows the game inside out but better suited to being a number 2 imo.

Yeah,he's a proven number 2 with a great record of bringing the best out of players. But maybe he's now starting to learn how to be a number 1?
Of course,it's only 4 wins and a narrow cup defeat, which we should've won imo,and it could all go tits up again, but the team seem a lot more "up for it" this past month.Somethings being done right..

As the season is now there are there have been three consistent teams, Saints,Leeds and cas (who in my opinion will falter when injuries bite and the sun comes out). Wakey, Bulls and London could,nt win an argument at the minute, the rest are in the "anyone can beat anyone on the day league". Sandy is doing ok in my book, we beat a near full strength Dull side last night without a fair few players and some on the pitch not 100%. Extension to his contract is nailed on as far as I can see...Onwards and upwards. :D

To be fair, I have always backed him. It seems like the fruits of his labour are starting to pay off, he still knows we have improvement in us and I'm confident it will come out. He is doing good things for this club, things we will not perhaps see today, but in the next few years to come. It's not just the first team, but the work he puts into all areas of the club. As the say, Rome was not built in a day and old habits die hard.

It looks like the new habits are rubbing off and I'm hopeful it will continue.

I bet Man Utd fans are glad that some on here weren't in charge at Old Trafford in Fergies early days or he would never of had chance to win all those cups!

He differs from Gentle in that he doesn't get his mates and relatives huge contracts and clearly isn't into nepotism. See McDonnell Miller Ellis Galea.

Brilliant improver of players. He has improved all our props he's had. Same with the halves and bookers. See Dobson Hodgson.
He's growing into a top 1st team coach. Substitutions are improving.
He inherited a poor squad and has improved it. We compete against every team now. This squad looks really good if you look at the players out yesterday.
The players all seem to play for him.
Give him a 3 year deal.

I get the impression that players want to play well for him which is a major signifier of a good coach. I'd give him an extension without a doubt.

Not to the point that all of them are prepared to be very much more patient with Moyes though. :D

4 SL wins on the bounce have certainly shored up Sandercock's position. It's often fine margins, win or lose, but things seem to be going his way a bit more often now. Stick with him, I reckon.
Following Morgan and been given a development remit - that was a tough ask. Especially against a background where Hull seemed to have fresh impetus and were looking at spending big. It hasn't always been easy, especially during those '1 win in whatever' spells. But this squad looks to be gelling now, and we seem to have developed a bit of steel.

Mind you, Whiting knocks over that conversion and chucking away a 10 point lead raises questions about mental toughness. Fine, fine margins.

agree with you about fine margins if welhams try had of counted we would have home and dry that gets disallowed they go up the other end and score
