Pleased for the lad. I'm sure if 1 of Roby or McIllorum were available he'd have missed out, but with McBanana's obsession with anyone playing NRL, he will be a shoe in next season.

Regarding SM's clear high regard for NRL based players, has Mike Cooper made a bit of an impact out there? I don't follow the NRL, but kind of assumed he'd be fringe player over there mainly playing reserve grade. Good on him if he's playing regularly in first grade. Decent, solid player but not much more than that at Warrington, I thought.

Playing very well at St George several of the pundits very impressed with him

Good luck to the lad, from my club East Hull, he is a very tough player, he is going to better his career going down under, well just leaving kr will better anyone's career. (Joke)
