Srama would have been great for the Rovers cosmopolitan, multi-cultural, multi-national image, which I have been celebrating on other threads. That is because Srama is half Polish and half Filipino. He could be a great vehicle, along with the likes of other Super League / Championship players like Leeds' Jimmy Keinhorst (Germany) and London's Joshua Cordoba (Spain) for spreading the game in other parts of Europe.
Unfortunately Matt Srama will be aware of the weather factor in Hull, as compared to Sydney Roosters and the Gold Coast Titans. It is hard getting players to give up the sunshine and beach culture (which is why so many Aussies like to head for Catalans if they come to Super League). Because of the weather factor, of the NRL clubs it is easier to lure players from Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors.
