Sky Sports build up to Saints v Rovers last night Mike Stephenson when asked by Eddie what are your thoughts on the middle 8s
He replied Leigh and Bradford would enter the super league with Rovers and Wakefield going down.

This bloke is usually treated as a joke by all but its been said, can it happen !! thoughts

Can happen but, don't think it will. Our away form points to defeats at Leigh and Widnes. We need to win our 4 home games and the 3rd away game, (Sheffield?). Surely 5 from 7 would be enough for a top 3 finish?

The return of the too big to fail Bulls would probably be seen as desirable by Stevo and the rl establishment. Could happen. The conventional wisdom is that Widnes do things the right way and Salford offer a route into the untapped potential of Manchester. Us and Wakefield are merely a drain on the resources that rightfully belong to comatose giant Hull and plucky Castleford.

Nothing would surprise me at the moment, I am usually a glass half full and then a bit more sort of person, but even I am seriously contemplating what could easily happen if our players and coaches don't get their act together. We have all seen what our side can do, but we have also seen them capitulate from a good position to many times. Relegation is a real danger, Widnes, Wakie and Salford have already beaten us this year, and there's nothing to say they won't do it again. Leigh and Bradford have strengthened are hungry and will pose a real threat. The only thing that may help us is depth of squad, if they start picking up injuries or in Leigh's case suspensions.
Everything from here in is in our own hands, and if we screw up there's no one else to blame.

I also agree with your statement mild, the Rfl would like nothing more than to get us in the championship and to a point where a merger would seem to be an easy way out, the same with wakie and cas.

Not been very good with predictions this year but Rovers are well capable of wining all our remaining games the only sides that will bother us will be Widnes & Warington in the cup. The game at Bradford showed that we realy were a class above, Leigh may put up a fight but won't be able to contain our attack for the full 80 minutes.

They won't have to, as we will be defending for >50% of the time. We will definitely lose away to Widnes & Leigh, the other fixtures should be enough to retain our status.

Every season ends in a whimper, hopefully this will be different, can't help but think that we look knackered though. Good chance to rest a few players went last night too

My worry is that we seem to be entering the end of the season in the same manner as we did last year, complete non attendance at big games. Well we've got 7 big games that we need to turn up at coming up and I do wonder about Chesters ability to get them up for it. Evidence points that he can't.

You'll be fine unless you pick up a few injuries. lose kelly and a couple of forwards and it could be interesting.
