going against the grain slightly I would still have a few union players, even from England, Watson looks good as does may and joseph the centre looks class, saying that I do prefer our game,

Brad Barrett was England's top tackler with 13 tackles, pitiful when you think of how many some league players do every week

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Oh, without doubt, there are quality players that could cross.

There always has been, our very own Sir Clive Sullivan and Billy Boston.

I have absolutely no beef with the sport, or the people that play it, it's the history and administration that I despise.

Brian O'Driscoll would have smashed it in League, and if we still had the coin, I would poach loads of other players too.

Not Farrell's lad though, but definitely Ford's.

The union world cup or the NRL Grand Final.......?
No contest. More excitement in the first ten minutes than their whole tournament.
The hate for Burgess by some of their ex players is embarrassing.
It's children's rugby compared to league. It's pre historic. They should catch up with some rule changes.

When you think that the players Australia put out yesterday are those that are not good enough to play in the NRL. What would have happened if they could have fielded Gallen, Thurston, Slater, Cronk, Thaiday, Inglis etc? I shudder to think what score they would would have put on England.

As Danny Lockwood put it in League Weekly ........... asking Sam Burgess to play centre in Rugby Union is a complete waste of talent ...a bit like giving Leonardo da Vinci a tin of emulsion and asking him to paint your house.

true ,he is a forward, he should play there or not at all, trouble is there where hell bent on him playing even if it was on the wing, just because he ripped it up in league doesn't mean he will in union,i do believe if he stops in union he will adapt and prove his worth in the forwards
