If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.

Re: Forum : Fri Apr 29, 2016 1:20 pm
I'm a little bit surprised by the assertion that we are spending to the full salary cap right now. If true, it highlights the questionable value to date in some of the contracts agreed for current incumbents. That said, there is an expectation from all parties that the players kick on from last week against Cas and perform going forward at a similar level with better consistency as we know they can and should. In this event, I would be lauding the players for their achievements and excellent value and the current coaching staff for their motivation and tactics.

Re: Forum : Fri Apr 29, 2016 1:34 pm
The Forum was billed as a showdown but in the end it was a damp squid.

The 5yr plan is still vague and the witch hunt for dishonesty seems to have fizzled out.

I did sit up when talk turned to signing 'out-of-age' & A N Other(s) to trial in Reserve Grade, but for the most part the Forum reflected how Rovers season has unfolded - nothing to shout about.

For me the only positive is Hudge hasn't plunged into one of his dark moods and is fully behind Peacock's 5yr plan.

Just a thought on the 5yr plan, is it just me but are the in-between years worth/exciting to invest in re season passes/merchandise.

Finally, I asked one of the Panel if the new coach is English and nearly caught them out!

I prefer dry squids but the squids themselves aren't too keen :)

I couldn't stop laughing when I heard it last night

Mind you, it was a correct assessment (damp squib, that is) and I'm hoping tomorrow afternoon doesn't follow suit.

I agree. I think winning at Cas prevented, what could have been, a very hostile atmosphere. We certainly could do with win tomorrow as Leeds and Hudds are both 1 point behind us. Knowing our consistent inconsistency, I'm fully expecting a pasting

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

What you need to to do is dust them in a a seasoned flour, maybe add a bit of dried chilli, I find the stuff from the coastal region of Gujarat is the best and flash fry them, East Yorkshire's very own rape seed oil is the best, it has a much higher boiling point and therefore makes the squid more tender.

Long and low or quick and high.

I'm,from the seaside, it's disgraceful that you people don't know this.

I have to admit, I moved there when I was ten months old and was never fully accepted, but that might be due to personality as it seems to have been a constant theme...
