If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Decided.

We're winning this game.

They have better players than us and unfortunately, James (we love him, remember his playing days) Webster hasn't turned out to be the panacea we required, but we, the fans, can lift the team to survival.

It's our club.

Not convinced we'll win by any stretch.

However, we DO have enough capability in the squad if they apply themselves. All we can do as fans is turn up in numbers and scream our lungs out for the lads.

I and my two lads intend to do that. Forget the shorthand version - Rovers Till I Die!

Just a reminder to any fans....

Can we NOT chant What A Waste Of Money ifwe're in the lead? Every time we do, we bloody lose.

Also need to stop sing A Little Respect, yes we got to the final but it keeps reminding me of 50-0 and how we DON'T respect the ball or opposition.

Rovers Till I Die, our anthem or any other positive chants are what we need.

The way Salford are playing at the moment, and the utter lack of motivation there, I'd be happy with a bet that you'll have them beaten in the first 20 minutes of the first half. They've got the players on paper, but that's all it is, on paper, there playing like a beaten and uninterested teams. Rovers, to their credit are not. I'd be more worried if you were playing Featherstone or Batley.

I agree with you about the first 20 minutes of the first half but what about the second half

They didn't seem to be lacking motivation at Batley.

Funny one are Salford, they battered Featherstone and Batley and did a job on Hudds, all away from the AJ. They seem fearstruck at home though which is bizarre as its not as if they're in front of a vociferous crowd.

I hope that is tongue in cheek which i suspect it was, otherwise why would you want to do that??.
That chant goes back as far as i can remember and one of the most uplifting ones i would say.
Back in the early to mid eighties during what was probably the most successful period in the clubs history, that particular chant rang out in unison loud and clear at every game that i can remember, especially at the away games for some reason.
It always seemed to be one of those chants that raised team and quite often the roof as well, so to speak.

If i had one criticism of some fans today it would be that there isn't enough variation in the songs and chants that they sing and some just dont bother to make any noise at all. Plus, when they do, it always seems to come mainly from one middle section of the east stand, some of the fans stood in the east stand nowadays never seem to show any passion at all except when they moan or jeer.
One thing is for sure, every fan in the ground will have to play their vociferous part on Saturday, including those in the West stand.
There will be no second chances this time.
