I bet there was some serious WTF when you all saw the HDM headline that said he was putting off retirement.

It should have read he's coming out of retirement to play for the Canberra junior side :D

I was one who kept banging on about getting shut of campese 18 months ago and it gives no pleasure being right, but if it comes to a choice between campese or scott prince, who will be 37 before he pulls on a rovers shirt and hasn't played for 4 years it has to be campese. Why didnt we sign josh drinkwater who has helped leigh to promotion, when we had the chance I will never know, but surely the lesson has to be dont sign over the hill aussies, who have had 15 yrs+ of hammer in the toughest league in our sport !!

I think you have made a fair point a lot of Aussies seem to think a couple of years in UK will be easy, we may not be as skilful man for man as the NRL but getting clattered by 17 stone of aggressive fit young man at full pelt hurts at any level in any country. But the Aussies always show disrespect to anything not from their God forgotten land.

Hull daily mail have now confirmed his departure. And not even a mention about his last two years at Rovers.

Bye Terry. I'd like to say......thanks for the memories. But I can't think of any.

I thought this forum was for rugby fans. Terry Campese has been a class above anything that this country ever produced (I include Millward in that statement). He's won all of the major trophy's down under with just one club, it didn't work out here, so what!! Still a class act.

"Has been" was a class act ending up being a hanger on and got well paid for it. Millward had far more class and more bottle then he ever had

What a load of rubbish, there has been plenty of English halfs over the years that are better players than Campese, how had he won everything, he hasn't won the NRL GF or even played in the final, very little representative rugby, in fact he's maybe had 3/4 good seasons in his career.

Whoever gave him a long contract on the back of 6 or so good games wants sacking.
