Barry McKenzie has learned today James Graham is desperate to be released from his Saint Helens contract a year early and has asked his agent to get him a job with an NRL club.


He will certainly be going all out to impress in the grand final and particularly in the 4 nations which can only be good for Saint Helens and England I suppose.

I know his people have approached 7 NRL clubs but as of now only one are interested.


Ignoring the fact he looks like a milk bottle with ginger hair... is he actually any good?

I was hoping if someone else could confirm it from Saint Helens

It's not secret he likes the thought

He was good enough to be honest at a Fans Forum and said "I'd like to go but owe everything I am to Saints so at the moment I'm still 50/50"

i think one more year at Saints would go alright for him. Especially given the extra support he's going to have in the front row next year.

Sure Barry - just give Saints a call. I'm sure they'll respond openly regarding the future of one of their leading players to a random message board loon.

When I asked if anyone from Saint helens knew anything I really meant from the area in general rather than the club. Maybe something was in your local paper? Or on the radio?

Heard he is goign to South's and we get Sam Burgess coming to us, plus we get £200k aswell.

My guess is that aussie agent = aussie club.

It wouldnt be a surprise because he is one of the very few front rowers who could do 80mins and be as effective in the last as he is in the first.
