A sponsored walk to raise money for the Steve Prescott Foundation will take place on Sunday 2nd October. It will go from the Premier Inn in Warrington town centre to the Imperial Bar in St Helens, which is a distance of around 10 miles. It is hoped that a number of familiar faces will be walking and fans are invited to take part, get sponsored and wear their colours. It's basically a celebration of how rugby league fans can come together like very few other sports and raise money for a cause much more important than sporting rivalry. If anyone in south Wales fancies getting sponsored and walking along with me on that first leg then you would be welcomed with open arms! What time will the walk be taking place? As October 2nd is the Championship and Championship 1 Grand Final day so this might reduce numbers from non SL fans and a few SL fans too. I certainly will be watching and attending the championship GF regardless of who gets there.
