I prefer watching international RU than international RL by miles. And I barely even like union.

I try every year. Longest i've ever managed is about 15 minutes.

The sports are Rugby Union , and Rugby League , not ' Rugby ' and Super League

As I put , Mr Stayt made a simple observation , I doubt he has an agenda

Yes I watched part of a match of Rugby Union last week , it was poor considering it was essentially a friendly match

Too each their own , my point being somebody who I assume has no axe to grind ( Charlie Stayt ) either way made a simple observation , being that if you want people to be more worried about missing something exciting than getting a beer , make it more exciting

I'd find having to watch all Mrs Browns Boys dvd's, everything james corden has done on tv and at the cinema. More enjoyable than having to watch a game of rugger.

If you take away the facility to self-medicate at RU matches, they will be forced to watch what's in front of them.

I have tried loads of times to watch rugby union and each time I fall asleep the most boring game apart from Ludo I have ever watched

People are shocked that I don't like union, and only like league, they assume if you
Ike rugby it must be both or just union. There even more shocked when I tell them I love NFL over soccer.

I'll watch the union if there's nothing else on. Especially if it's the southern hemisphere teams and would definitely rather watch union than wendyball.

I also love the Nfl, started when I was at university, being able to get work done in the numerous breaks was a real plus.

But nothing will ever beat league, for me we have the best consumer sport in the world, in that there is always something happening. It's a shame we don't market it like that. (Union and NFL also has this to an extent but you have to like/understand the physical and technical side of Rucks/O-line play)
