Just a quick plug....the Vulcan in Walkden has every game of the world cup being shown, no matter what else is on. Beer is cheapish as well, £2.45 for bitter, £2.65 for lager. IM not connected to them in any way other than a customer btw, but gaz is ex Eccles.

Not free we got 3 games for a tenner Samoa England knights, England v Italy and Scotland v USA. |

I've seen loads about how other host towns have embraced and pushed their game - anyone know what's going on in Salford (other than the offer to season ticket holders)?

I would have thought so. I don't know when the bidding process was to host each game, but I doubt our previous management were too bothered hence why we've got arguably the least favourable game. I have no reservations that had Marwan and his team been in charge at the time we'd have had the Kiwi's or Australia playing a game here. |
