I'm suprised to be honest, i didn't expect a ban from the RFL with the playoffs underway unless it was so bad they didn't have a choice. I'd expect an appeal.

It was on of those boarderline ones for me. Dangerous without a doubt but i don't think it was intended.

If it had been intended, he'd have got a lot more than one match. That's why it was only rated "Grade A".

There's no way the RFL will uphold that on appeal.

Not deserving of a ban anyway, it clearly wasn't malicious; just one of those things.

Will probably get the ban overturned, but one might say that yet again an opposition player ( particularly those from Leeds - Senior and Peacock in the CC) has been dealt with leniently ( ie no yellow or red card) on the pitch and then retrospectively has been punished by the RFL.

Re Joel and "kicking" - only seen it once but I didn't think it was a proper kick - he didn't swing his leg back particularly, more of a jab - and did he actually connect? Not sure if he did - the RFL can't have been that sure either or he would have had a ban or fine.

One other thing that hasn't been mentioned - what happened when Tommy was seemingly hit hard after about 50 minutes - when Leeds then got the loose ball and went upfield? He was on the floor for almost a minute. Was he hit late and high? Seemed to be but again only seen it once.
