Just read article on Jack Reed in League Express. It had been well documented that he was born in Airedale, Castleford when in fact it was Airedale hospital, Keighley.

I know he has spent 99% of his life in Oz and has done none of his Rugby League development in this country but htere is a part of me that is proud that a person born in Keighley will probably be playing for England.

Last season Jack played a couple of games for Silsden R L. Allegedly the players from silsden asked their chairman (one of our directors) to give him a trial for Cougars, but was told he wasn't good enough for Cougars....Missed opportunity?

He was the worst England player on the park on Friday! And I think there are better English players in his position, if he makes the mistakes he made against France against the Aussies then we're going to get battered.

It's a shame because this is one of the better looking England teams we've had in a while. The right hand side especially looks class. I think if you replaced Hall with Charnley (and I know Charnley isn't the greatest defensively either but he offers more than Hall does) and replaced Sinfield with Widdop (because I don't understand why you'd play a loose forward at stand-off when you've got the stand-off for the NRL minor premiers in the squad!) we'd have a team with a chance of turning either Australia or New Zealand over.

I tend to agree with stealth. You can't knock his finishing ability, but there is more to a modern day winger than that. I'm not a big fan and think he's a way of international standard, but he's got time on his side.

Fair enough, everyone to their own opinion I suppose.

I think for two many years we have lacked wingers of size, to match up against the Aussies and Kiwis. I really rate both Briscoe and Hall but have to say I would prefer Hall over Briscoe.
