Hickey is under contract so can't see him not being here, after all it's not like clubs are going to be flocking in with offers for him is it???

Seriously have you not noticed the major flaw in your Murphy for F/B policy?

Murphy is slow, maybe not as slow as Blaymire but still slow - he will add very little to the team in that position. Yes I did dee him at Hull and he was competent.

At centre however he reads the game really well. He runs great lines in attack and is always in position in defence and will only get better as he gets bigger and stronger. As a centre he is in with a shot for representative honours if he continues to improve, he stands absolutely no chance at FB.

Why waste all this on an obsession based on a few games.

I think Hyde is still under contract and if someone can work with him on his confidence in taking on the line he could be a good prospect at Stand-Off, although this is where I would really like to see one of our quota spots used to bring in someone of genuine quality.
Higgins is under contract too I think and is the no-nonsense kind of prop that everyone needs in their squad IMO (nothing sparkling but willing to do the hard yards)
I'd hope to keep Howarth as he really could prove to be something special given a bit more time to fully develop his game - move Morrison to 2nd row and Howarth at Loose for me.
Personal choices I know but I think I'd rather see Morton given a wing berth than Johnson unless someone can help him work on his defence.

With a good off season Hickey may well surprise a few, he is a quality player he just needs some serious conditioning work.

Would Thomas be worth a punt for you guys? He is a pretty accomplished player, would really provide strength and competition in all the outside back position, is available and also crucially would attract some good column inches in not only the Rugby League press but the wider Nationals given the film project etc. Could be a very shrewd acquisition in my opinion for a club looking to muscle in on the promotional wagon.

I also still think Pryce could do a decent job for you guys in the short term.
