Our recruitment and coaching team have done OK so far, I'm not sure what they see in him either but I'm happy to defer to their judgement.

I don't really watch players of other teams until I think they might be signing for us... So I spent yesterday watching his games (I'm retired now so have to do something) and I really like what I see, and he's only just turned 21.


PS McGann is only 18... Both players have bags of growth in them.

AgreeIt is good to sign young players in the backs 7 but we just seam to be bringing in players who will not take us to the next level. 

The key will be when Lino's contact is up next year. This gives us scope to push for an overseas half who can take us to the next level.

Personally, from what I've seen of Sinfield, he hasn't really stood out much, but then again, Bastian and Bell have brought him through at Leeds, so they must see a player in him moving forward, and he's still very young to say he's been artpound a few years, that's if the rumors true, because i've also heard that we're signing Tanginoa, which can't be true as we've no quota spots, so we'll see. 

As for we're bringing in players who will not take us to the next level, I don't agree with that. Who have we brought in that won't take us to the next level?

Smoothy has just won the NRL grand final with Brisbane playing hooker/ loose, and Jazz is a former Daly M winning interchange player and NRL starter, who's gonna bring loads to our middle unit. Tray Lolesio looks like he's a Uele kind of forward and will bring some big meters down the middle, and the club has done really well spotting guys from the level below NRL. Those guys are our main signings that will be in our 17, and then we've also brought in Jordan Williams, who'll make a good squad player, and he's a big lad with good go-forward. We've let go of Hood, Griffin, Atoni & Cozza, and those first 3 are all an upgrade on them imo. 


As mentioned, we've brought in Kiann McCann, who's only 18 but comes from the Saints set up, and he plays in the halves or fullback and has just played for Lancashire in the Academy Origin series, so he looks exactly the kind of prospect we should be bringing in and building up, as well as our own. 


Ateotd no club is gonna get every signing right, but so far Ste and DP have got just about everyone correct, so you've got to give them the benefit of their experience. With 3 new teams in SL, the picking for British players is already slim, so it's gonna be a complete joke, the kind of offers average players get offered to sign up moving forward. I'm glad we got our work done early.
