I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s shambolic from the club but I’d definitely be inclined to say it’s lazy. Testimonial events are not run by clubs, they are run by testimonial committees in the interests of the individual player. I think for reasons of tax their are limitations on what can be done.

In actual time the game finished 22 minutes quicker than last season. Scrums in 2018 were taking well over a minute last year and "injuries" even longer. It has been a huge improvement and the game is better for it. Not sure it's suited Wigan mind.
