Charity Game vs Andrea's gift XIII (Full Contact) 9th May : Fri Mar 12, 2010 9:00 pm  

Some lad has asked us if we could get a team together to play a game against a few lads who play for local teams for this charity, as the title say this game will be FULL CONTACT. The facebook group is below. As far as im aware he's got everything sorted with refs etc. Im going to clarify how we can help raise money, im not sure if he want us to get people to sponsor us to play rugby or what (which would be a bit random). Can we start asking about for people who can play in this. Fax are at home that day in CC so it's just part of a day out in Halifax. The other lad has got a full team together so we do need one to play against them. I'll start messaging folk on facebook but can you get folk to come along such as family and friends anyway like. Hi every1

Game will now be played at Ovenden Park home of Halifax RUFC due to summer rugby at Mason Green

Referee is Daniel Tindal (RFL listed)
Touch Judge - Daniel Crampton & Emily Crampton

Kick off 11.00am

Game will finish about 12.30 then its great time to start thepub crawl before the batley game.

Tommy have you actually done any organising for this or just not bothered? More to the point what actually is it?

as i recieved an email of Nat today

the game may be 9-a-side
mixed teams
kick off 11am
meet at 10.30

ref still dan tindall and he will be bringing touch judges

game is at Halifax RUFC (behind moorside J&I School) on keighley road

on the day there will be a raffle
1st prize is a family match ticket (2 adults + 2 Juniors) to go watch Wakefield Wildcats at the belle vue in a super league game of ur choice (details are on voucher)

just about to phone Halifax RUFC to confirm we can use the changing rooms otherwise it is on the pitch and see if we can get the gates opened aswell (otherwise it is around the back)

What do you mean what is it? It's been what it's stated on that facebook link for 2 months, a chairty game at the venue stated (which has changed a couple of times) How complicated can a game of rugby be?

Other than inviting people to it on facebook and message folk there, what else am i supposed to have done organising it exactly. Come down to people's house from Sunderland with a written invite or summit?

I've often enquired as to who's playing, what's happening with the kit etc but my resources are pretty limit a) from where i am and b) if people can't be arsed replying to my messages or giving firm answers.
