NZ Charity Touch Tourno : Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:24 am  

As some of you heard after training last night there's a big event planned for Sunday 3 July at Odsal after the Catalans Match.

A touch rugby tournament will be going on with each side that enters getting two SL players in it. It's £100 per team to enter with all procedes going to the New Zealand Quake and Aussie Floods Charity. All the SL teams will be sending players once the fixtures are over that day and there will be a BBQ (but you pay for your burger) and a free beer for every player taking part!

The touch games will be on the main pitch at Odsal. I'm hoping we can get 10 of us together so it works out at £10 each that goes to an excellent cause. I know Kev, Dobby, Helen and possibly Harry are already up for it. Anyone else?

I'd be up for that but with one caveat...

I'm doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks for charidee in the summer, and two of the potential dates are that weekend. If we end up doing it on the Saturday, I may be able to walk again by Sunday tea-time. If we do it on the Sunday, then that's obviously me ruled out as I'm not going to be back in time.

Will let you know once we've made a decision on the walk date.

No worries. Having done the Yorkshire 3 peaks I can tell you now you won't feel like playing rugby the next day!

Bit early for my busy social diary just yet(!) but providing nothing else major on that weekend I would imagine me and Dan would play.

Please note this has now been moved to Sunday 17 July and will take place after the Bulls vs Hudders game. More details to follow but I expect the same set up. £10 per player and we need 10. All profits to a good cause.
