How many could we have built instead of the 400 million and running total spent on Libya?

problem is hat there are no oil reserves in the uk wastelands not like the Libyan desert.....

and what's a mere £400 million compared to the £12 billion wasted over the past decade with the ill fated NPfIT NHS system which was a criminal waste of your money, even by Mr Browns' standards...

aye mate,it soon mounts up - but the prize in Libya, just like The Falklands and Iraq is massive for the uk (and france) with all the precious minerals etc to be taken advantage of not to mention the vast rebuilding contracts - France was the first to step in with rebuilding quotes for Baghdad...

sod the human cost ! it's all money related just as it always has been with the superpowers of the day raping the third world of its assets.....

not that i'm cynical or anything ? :NAUGHTY:

No mention though of allowing big rent rises on what are currently affordable homes, or raising the discount cap on "right to buy"?
