Can a car still be scrapped if the log book has been lost, or would a new one need to be requested from the DVLA?

This information maybe out of date as it happened 4 years ago but I had to SORN the car first then advise the DVLA that the car had been scrapped, they then accepted this without the logbook.

Give them a ring, they are fine to talk to, OK they are Welsh but they are OK
