Nine fined £624 each for naming rape victim online. I'm not saying the sentence itself is bad or wrong (may well be perfectly apt), but within the context of some of the recent sentences for social media 'crimes', how does this sit? Surely this case would be something like contempt, wouldn't it? In which case, how can it not be more serious than a subjective judgement on whether something is 'too' offensive?
