Its been a few years since I worked out in Poland but there used to be a bar at the bottom end (Church side) of the square called 'Bastille' with ann odd prison decor.

Can Highly reccommend Wisniowka Vodka, its cherry flavoured and drinkable neat

You could do worse than a trip to Zakopane in the south, its a beautiful ski resort and popular destination for Polish folk. looks like a swiss village what with all the log cabins.
Great cable-car ride to the top of the Tatra mountains, you can see all the way across to Slovakia, spectacular!
