Perhaps I'm imagining things, but I always thought Chester was a part of Cheshire, therefore it's full of basket case tories.

You have never been to Chester, have you??.....

Try the Newton/Hoole or Saltney areas, and I think you might have a bit of a shock, if you really believe its inhabited exclusively by the Tory middle-classes.
