A la Colemanballs, a thread to highlight ridiculous exaggeration and hyperbole in winter weather reports, for general amusement.

I'll kick off with the Bradford T&A online:

On Mayo Avenue, Bankfoot, the intense blast of wintry weather created a white-over in a matter of minutes,

Translation:
"On Mayo Avenue, Bradford, a very short snowfall only left a thin smattering of snow, but then it stopped and made no difference to anybody."

So you put them on over your head. Why the fook would you put a dressing gown on back to front, when you would have to struggle to fasten it up at the back? Put it on the correct way round and fasten it at the front and job done. Is it me???
