Zero tax - Rolls Royce joins the club : Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:27 pm

Annual report shows Rolls-Royce did not pay any tax in the UK in 2012, same as 2011. It made £1.4bn in pre-tax profit in 2012, an increase of 24% on 2011. They paid nothing to the treasury, and to add insult to injury, actually received £3m in credit. I think this is very fair. If they can only scrape by on £1.4 billion I'm glad we don't add to their financial woes by getting them to pay tax here too, and it is just typical of the good old British generosity that instead, the taxpayer chips in a few mill for good measure. |
