It's a fairly simple question, who would get more donations you or Bono?

Anything else is a strawman.

I see you've been on a management rubbish speak course, congratulations.

You and I both know my point, Bono preaches whilst fleecing anyone who will pay him.

I think we should just point out the sheer hypocrisy of the Daily Mail on this entire issue, since it effectively encourages a spot of 'perving' over underage girls (and the occasional boy) and makes money out of it.

Is that the Mail Online thing that had a picture of Chloe Grace Moretz and saying how attractive she looks with her slim body ( I think she's not yet 16 either ) or words to that effect ?

To answer the OP, no I don't support the CiN appeal and can't recall ever having done so, but its got nothing to do with Jimmy Savile and more to do with charity fatigue, ie I can't be arsed.

I support two charities every year, one by monthly donation, one by an annual event - and thats my lot.

Oh yes, that's the one. And a few more such examples here.

Answer the question FFS. Who would raise more, I'll give you a hint, it isn't you.
Bono and his like raise a small fortune for worthwhile causes, if they stop are you going to plug the gap?

How much tax did U2 pay on their Zooropa tour again?

It cannot be any less than Starbucks paid, a big fat 'zero' on over £1 billion.

Is this the Pudsey Bear fronted appeal ? If so , they can shove it up their harrises . I fell out with that lot the first year they ( the 'round table' ) did their appeal when they borrowed my race car , wrecked it , and reneged on promises to provide me with a replacement vehicle . They also wrecked any chance of me ever donating a bean to their cause .
My (very) charitable donations and efforts are all done for local needy people nowadays . I don't mind helping out where I can actually see that people are benefitting from my efforts . There are kids going hungry , and elderly folk that need assistance in this country too .
Charity begins at home . It should also end at home .

Maybe you should blame the round table rather than the whole appeal...

But you're quite comfortable, Standee with multi multi millionaires telling us plebs what we should and shouldn't be spending our money on (food vouchers instead of benefits?) But you're not comfortable with a pop star asking for pledges which raises millions for a good cause??? Its Friday, you always post your contraversial views on a Friday ;)
