If someone wants to know Paul's opinions maybe they should do that. Or, maybe Jesus (God on Earth) wasn't quite good enough at getting his point across, so Paul had to pick up the baton.
Jesus instituted the church and the church had to spread the faith. Peter and Paul made a massive contribution to this. Also don't forget that all scripture is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16).
He makes the Earth, waits 4.5 billion years, then thinks "hang on this place needs Humans!". He then watches on for at least 98,000 years and throws his son down, not to the most advanced region, but in a land of poverty (who then kill him).
And now we all have to wait for another self fulfilling prophecy to happen or for the sun to expand and make this planet inhabitable or for Andromeda to collide with us in 3 billion years.
I love Jamie and have done since he was 10 years old.

Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Kirkstaller - not one person has actually agreed with you or your posts and imo are now verging on preaching. While I am enjoying taking part and reading other comments in the debate I am not enjoying your quotes from the bible without you backing them up with a reasonable argument or comment, instead just telling us to read it for ourselves. I do not read the bible so I would very much like to hear your interpretation.
I come up against this argument a lot. Do you think God would disagree with Christians saying theft or murder is wrong? No, he wouldn't.
Newsflash, there is no "god". But if there was, he wouldn't make banal points like that.

Sin is sin. Loving thy neighbour is doing as you would be done. I would hope my fellow brothers would strive to correct me if I were sinning.
Wow. Full house. * "Love your neighbour" - unless it's a same-sex couple, right? * Do as you would be done unto - unless you want to marry, but want to stop your brother getting married, right? Then do the opposite of how you would like to be done unto. Right? * "Brothers"? How ironically misogynist., and slightly gay. In truth, you have sisters too, and they've just as much right as brothers to correct you. Are you a closet homosexual? * By your big books definitions, you are sinning. HTH

I agree, freedom of speech is important. However I reserve the right to admonish those who abuse it to libel my viewpoint.
You can't libel a viewpoint. Nor would many care a hoot about the weird notion of being "admonished by the proponents of batshit loony viewpoints.

I believe same-sex relations to be wrong.
This is where your brain is so far in the dark ages that it is clouding your judgment. And your slip is showing, which i would guess matches the slip of most who oppose same-sex marriage. Because your argument was supposed to be that you believe same-sex relations to be fine and dandy, even to the point of civil partnerships, and it's just marriage that is a step too far. The truth is, you and others like you, are just rampant homophobes and while you may come up with that stuff, you don't believe a word of it.

Do you think society discriminates against murderers or rapists by sending them to prison?
Absolutely. We discriminate against them because they have committed terrible acts, in favour of people who have done nothing wrong, and so are not imprisoned.

.. I can but share the Good News.
You have some good news? Please share, could do with some (real news, please, nothing based on metaphysics).
Recently, I've been heavily involved with a campaign called the Coalition For Marriage (C4M).
The most misnamed front campaign for bigots and religious loonies ever. It's clearly a coalition against marriage.
As someone has said: if you disagree with same-sex marriage, the best policy is not to marry someone of the same sex as you. Beyond that, mind your own business.

I do not expect support.

And you are never going to get it if, when someone raises a valid counterpoint, you just find a line in a book and go "Aaah, see".
If you're such a marriage fan, why aren't you trying to get as many people as possible to try it? Why should one section of society be denied the right to be as miserable as the rest of us?
