It really is isn't it.

I particularly like the way that the characters are now sliding gradually along the political scale from one end to the other.

It's a shame the daughter and mother characters aren't also RL fans, I'd be interested in their views on the world.

I particularly chuckled at the "is that you?" response from Dally senior.
Further chucklement ensued when he proceeded to ask Titan if he fancied going to some events later this year.
Call me strange but I'd have probably picked a phone up to ask if he fancied going instead of waiting these last few months on here, to ask, since he last posted!

Freedom without Socialism is privilege and injustice.
Socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality.

The current conflict is between the middle-aged and the young. The middle-aged have destroyed this nation's finances and economy, and it is the young that are forced to pay for it with higher unemployment now and drastically lower living standards in the future as we must pick up the bill for the middle-aged's addiction to government spending which has caused the catastrophic level of national debt. The corruption, selfishness and infantile nature of the middle aged is abominable. Like children, they expect to be molly-coddled by the State through cradle-to-grave benefits - welfare, NHS, pensions etc. The concept of individual responsibility and civic duty is anathema to the baby-boomers, and it is the young who are left to pick up the pieces. It is the young who have few job prospects, who are unlikely to ever get on the housing ladder, who suffer the injustice of taxation without representation, who are the main victims of crime caused by the middle-aged's opposition to stiff law+order policies, who have to grow up in a society which is creeping towards authoritarian government in which the press is regulated, Habeus Corpus has been suspended, defendants are tried by on-the-spot fines or secret courts, who are sent to fight in wars and then abandoned when they return home injured, who must now live in a country whose defence budget has been ravished to such an extent that our country cannot fight a major war, who are vilified in the press on a daily basis, who are unable to go out in public without risking interrogation from the police or carrying ID at all times, who are unable to go to certain shopping centres wearing clothes of their own choosing, who are sometimes banned from entering newsagents, who are denied the chance to move up in society through gaining a good education - first the grammar schools were closed, then higher education was shut to all but the very rich and now the NUT oppose new proposals to provide decent schooling to kids with their preference for propaganda to fact-based-learning, who have been cut-off from their heritage as Britons through the middle aged's penchant for mass immigration and being governed by Germany, who will be forced to live with the violent consequences of the middle aged's decision to Balkanise this country.

People aged 16-29 are the most down-trodden and persecuted group in society. This injustice must end and the only way to do it is to create a new political party. A lot of youngsters used to believe that the Lib Dems would represent them, look at how that has turned out.

Re: Iain Duncan Smith : Mon Apr 08, 2013 6:08 pm
Okay, answer these questions:

What age group were the bankers who lent money irresponsibly?
What age group were the politicians who pressured bankers to lend money to the poor to get them on the housing ladder?
What age group of the population borrowed money to fund the purchase of holidays, houses, cars, designer clothes etc?
What age group are the politicians who created the Euro and continue to support it?
What age group are the BBC journalists who believe that the answer to debt is to borrow and spend more?
What age group are the people who buy second homes in the countryside and oppose the expansion of airports/strip clubs/night clubs/bars thus driving up house prices and denying youngsters leisure activities?
What age group campaigned for smoking to be banned in pubs that they rarely frequent (as evidenced by the decline in pub trade following the smoking ban?
What age group introduced and then raised tuition fees for university, whilst ring-fencing economically useless services like the NHS?
What age group were the politicians who took Britain into the EEC/EC/EU?
What age group were the politicians who supported mass immigration into this country?
What age group were the members of Hacked Off and Parliament who introduced regulation of the press?
What age group were the people who supported the closure of the grammar schools and oppose the reintroduction of the teaching of facts in schools?

Now answer this:

What age group suffers the highest rates of unemployment?
What age group is vilified on a daily basis by the media?
What age group face, for the first time in living memories, having a lower standard of living than their parents due to stagnant wages, rising costs, housing shortages, high house prices etc?
What age group is forced to compete with immigrants for a small number of jobs?
What age group will be burdened with the rising debt interest and pension costs for the rest of their working lives?
What group can work and join the army but cannot vote, drink alcohol or smoke?
What age group is routinely stopped, searched, interrogated and checked for ID by the police?

Regarding the baby-boomers - they have destroyed this country. Their liberal policies in the 60/70s gave this country endemic drug abuse, the highest per person crime rates in the developed world, the highest abortion and divorce rates in Europe, family breakdown, the collapse of Christianity and its replacement with the alien religion of Islam/the moral vacuum of atheism, they took us into the EU, they were the ones who demanded the massive increase in public spending/private debt that have caused the current economic malaise and they are the people who have refused to breed sufficient children to support their astronomical future pension costs.

The baby-boomers are the most selfish, short-termist and unpatriotic generation in British history. First they corrupted British morals, then British culture, then British society, then British politics and now the British economy. There is no aspect of this country that has been left untouched by their poisonous nihilism. Thatcher tried to reverse the wanton destruction of these people, but she was confronted by too many enemies and ultimately failed. The spread of corruption and sleaze in public life subsequently accelerated during the Major, Blair, Brown and Cameron years.
