Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

What the bloody hell are you on about, Citizen Smith?! He wears a suit at work like every other politician; and when he's door-stepped, he wears civvies like a normal person - which seems funny when it's Boris Johnson, but is somehow an indicator of Corbyn's lack of credibility?

As for being sharp for 20 years - I see Corbyn being on the right side of the majority of big issues in his long career as a politician; I'll take that over a Gucci suit any day of the week.

Problem is every politician worth their salt will be wearing a Gucci suit apart from Corbyn - if you don't think appearance has value you are more stupid than I thought. Appearance is about respect for those you are engaging with - which is why Corbyn got so much stick on 11th November - lack of respect.

Perhaps that why we get the politicians we deserve - because idiots like you place more importance on how someone looks than what they are saying and doing?

He got stick on 11th November for wearing a raincoat, when it was raining - I attended my local war memorial on the same day, with both my kids, and we all wore raincoats - surprisingly, no one was offended.

The reality is that he got stick because the MSM will use any excuse to give him stick, under orders from their off-shore billionaire proprietors - some people allow themselves to be told what to think, but increasing numbers don't.

Bren, IF every other attendee at an event is dressed "properly" and one of them isn't, it's easy for someone to point the finger at them. They know that the press are following their every move, hell, they are "greeted" with paparazzi every morning when they leave home.
Therefore, it's reasonable to assume that the difference in attire is a deliberate choice, perhaps to gain a reaction ??

You are old enough to remember Michael Foot at the cenotaph in his anorak and he just looked scruffy and disrespectful.
Corbyn is no Michael Foot and his image has certainly improved since he became Labour leader but, to suggest that it's all down to the MSM is just naïve.
As for joe public, of course, they can do as they please.
Politicians have to follow the rules or they risk making the front pages, it's their choice.

Back on Brexit, it seems like JRM and Boris have decided that the game is up and we may actually see MV3 getting through.
What an absolute bunch of pillocks we have "running" the country.

Theresa May & her husband wear the same boring clothes for church every Sunday. Or perhaps the MSM just show the same reel every week. I think she is disrespecting God.

you local Tesco must do a roaring trade in tin foil, or are your paranoia hats recyclable?

Maybe we should all just read the I. and not actually have opinions?

Apparently God take us all as we are.
Some would say that he helps us all choose which path to follow and maybe which clothes to wear :D

Ultimately, getting "pinged" for being boring would be preferable than for being disrespectful and as with everything in life, it all depends who or what you believe.
