Once stayed at a small hotel in the middle of nowhere in the Aude valley - a small place with maybe 4 or 5 rooms and the proprietor would cook the main meal in the evening and sit down with all the guests together. All very good.
On one night, this hors d'oeuvre came out and she told the French people - in French - that it was horse, then said to me and the wife - in English - that is was 'meat'.

So our cultural aversion to eating things with a nice face and that have personal characteristics imposed on them by us travels well.

Never tried horse, but having had all the usual meats, fish as well as some other 'exotic' meats around the world, I don't see a problem. The main issue seems to be the labelling.

No idea where you get the notion that I hate most things about the UK, I love it, unashamedly.
I do have opinions of what could be better or worse and, as this is a discussion board, I discuss.
Of course, if you don't like it, you could follow your own advice.

There isn't a counter argument to "I don't like Tesco", "I don't like the Monarchy", "I don't like the Coalition", they are all just opinions based on a personal set of values.

If my posts were so simplistic, you'd have a point.
I know you can read so why not engage with the arguments (in this thread, about supply chain control)?

Because engaging in arguments with people engrained in their opinions is as pointless as it is frustrating.
