Sad isn't it. It's a shame some posters have to thrust their bigoted hatred and intolerance into an open arena such as.

One has to hope that these people never get into any kind of position of responsibility where they would no doubt seek to discriminate against those of religion.

As for the poster who said people who 'believe it are idiots'. This is a totally bonkers statement considering the scientists, inventors etc through the years who have been religious (no I won't list them). Are they all idiots?

Fed up of all the crap I've/we've had to put up with directly and indirectly in one way or another because of religion.
Humanity and it's regression due to religion
Persecution because of religion
War because of religion

I could go on all day.

As they say Religion is like a penis, it's ok to have one but I don't need to see it and I don't want it shoved down my throat.

Unfortunately it still influences far more than it should and I will always stand by if you believe in religion then you're an idiot.

I'm not forcing my atheism on people but I will say it as I see it.

The only reason anyone believes in any religion is they have been brainwashed.

That is why all religions major on getting the young indoctrinated from the earliest possible age.

I agree that it is inexplicable how millions of intelligent people around the globe all come to realise that they are Hindu / Muslim / Christian / Whatever FOR NO OTHER REASON than their parents were, and so forced them down the same path - yet remain convinced that the particular religion is the only true religion. Even though they can see that millions of others from other religions suffer from identical illusions.

Thousands of nutters across the ages have done - and continue to do - all manner of obscene acts citing their god in justification of them. If religion was abolished,nutters might still commit heinous crimes, but at least they wouldn't be able to make excuses and hide behind imaginary deities.
