There are, quite clearly, people who have come to this country who have zero interest whatsoever in contributing to our society or conforming to our way of life. What is worse is that a number of these people are actively out to cause us harm.

Wincanton a "leafy middle-class suburb"? Don't make me fooking laugh. It's a town of approximately 7000 inhabitants, many of whom are either Polish and Portuguese, with a healthy smattering of Chinese and Indian, Pakistani & Sri Lankan. We all seem to get along quite well, the blokes get their hair cut at the Portuguese barber, couples bypass ther cream tea for a decent cup of coffee and some Portuguese pastries. Some folks even go to the Polish shop to buy "something different". A Chinese guy runs the chippy, we have two Chinese takeaways and one restaurant and two Asian restaurants. Sorry, I almost forgot the Turkish kebabby. Not too shabby a mix for the size of town.

There are far more born & bred here, who would claim English parentage and have little to no inclination to ever assimilate themselves into society. So don't try that one

Isn't that the point in all this though? The fear of being outed as a racist despite the fact criminal offences had been committed. Rotherham council were scared to act due to the majority of men involved being of Pakistani origin. What's more important, keeping vulnerable children safe or keeping the PC brigade happy? This is a story that won't go away and will probably uncover more goings on across the country, just like the Savile revelations did. No single person is above the law.

What I do find puzzling in all of this is: South Yorkshire Police couldn't be bothered to properly investigate these allegations over the years but sent 20 coppers down to Berkshire for a ride in a helicopter over Cliff Richard's flat

I thought the same. They covered up Hillsborough, covered up child abuse yet showboated a search of Cliff Richard's flat based on one allegation. They must really hate the Millennium Prayer.

Everybody cares about "vulnerable children".

Apart from when they watch Benefits Street and Jeremy Kyle. Then they are "white trash" and "chav scum" and they are probably hated as much as "Paki's".

No doubt a host of politicians will be condemning SYP and SYSS. But many of these politicians will have also been massively cutting budgets and forcing extreme targets on the police at the same time.

I think convincing a social worker that you're a victim of crime will be very easy. In fact in many of the cases in this report the victims insisted that they weren't victims and that they were loved by their abusers. If the police are not informed of these allegations then how in hell are they supposed to investigate them?

Your displaying the exact attitude that lead to the abuse of these girls. The people that failed to act in system are nothing but enablers.

This crime had a racial element, no denying that it was a hate crime. The racist and cultural attitudes of Pakistani men was at the route of all this. This a thing that been repeated throughout the Country that has a large lower income Pakistani Population. They will be no moving forward until this fact is acknowledged, race relations will continue to decline and girls will continue to get abused.
