Incredibly none of them! I did almost put FOTR in the original listing but had too many other great films to put in before it, same as Pan's. Couldn't get into Spirited Away. I think it's just a bit too alien for me to get into as I've had the same with all the animations from Studio Gibli. I know they must be good stuff because whenever I read about one I fancy going watching one and usually I end up not liking it lol e.g. Ponyo and is Grave of the Fireflies one of his as well? Again, couldn't get into either of them. Oldboy I'm going to re-watch. I didn't like it first time but might see more of it second time around.

Of the final five I'd say that there's probably only one of them that's guessable as the other four are a bit off the beaten track i.e. independent/world cinema (3 American, 2 from far east).

Seriously, I couldn't guess, I have bought a few off your list, only watched "The Wrestler" so far, didn't like it. I just never got into the character and felt that really he was were he deserved to be because he was a bit of a t0sser.

Others I will be watching include; "There Will Be Blood", "Adaptation", "The Fountain", "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada", "4 Months, 3 Weeks And 2 Days", "Y Tu Mama Tambien".

Did you also recommend "In The Loop"? I'd forgotten about that and enjoyed it immensely.

I thought Grave of the Fireflies was outstanding.
Truly heartbreaking and showed up the futility of war to the max.
Pans Lab is another all-timer for me.

Don't even know if you've seen Dear Zachary, Mc, but it would be pushing for a top 5 spot in my Top of the Pops. A jaw-dropping rollercoaster if ever there was one.

You may well have done. Think it was around the time Catfish was being shown on More4 and I was looking for other quirky documentary type films. I definitely wasn't prepared for the end!

Think the Coen brothers or Aranofsky may have sneaked one of their others into your top 5.

Thought 'Amores perros' may have got a look-in somewhere in your list?
