Not Really, when you create your team to start you will be given a bronze team, when you play others then you are most likely only play against other bronze teams, so wont be at any disadvantage.

If you preorder the game, then from certain outlets will give you 2 gold packs a month for 6 months.

So nothing to really worry about.

It's not a problem. You are matched against equivalent teams when you play online and you can always catch up either by playing against the AI a lot or by putting your hand in your pocket. Something I wouldn't do, but a lot will.

No, but the Ultimate Team web app has gone live. So the people are downloading their free packs that EA give out at the start of the year.

I feel your pain, I'm the same when Call of Duty comes out. Everyone is talking about prestiging their smg calibrator and how perky their perks are or aren't.

You can discard cards, I just didn't know how. You have to send them to your trade pile and click on 'quick sell'.

Some of the IF players are quick selling for 5,000, which is far higher than you could currently sell them for given very few people have much to generate coins with.

My team name is of course "Team Saddened".
