| Quote Durham Giant="Durham Giant"You could at least try to present some semblance of a reasonable argument to encourage some discussion.
Brian Clough on Champagne Socialism:
‘Of course I’m a Champagne Socialist. The difference between me and a good Tory is he keeps his money while I share mine.’
I have a nice picture of clough on a March for striking miners .'"

This sort of argument makes little sense. The problem is collective. Individual contributions to a collective problem don't address the issue. Indeed they are probably that thing Tories say they hate (but do all the time) - virtue signalling.

| I wonder when the bailiffs will turn up at 10 Downing Street following its occupant receiving a CCJ, this must be a first and you must be so proud.

| Quote The Ghost of '99="The Ghost of '99"Almost every significant social improvement to working class lives in the past 100 years came from Labour governments. Why do you suppose the party which opposed, and in many cases continues to oppose those things, are the right choice for working people?
It's all about identity politics on the right now. Left of centre policies may be more popular but unfortunately for Labour that's pretty irrelevant.'"
So the clean air act was passed under a Tory government, Health and safety at work act all the work was done under the Heath government, factories act was a Tory bill, first housing act under the liberals - other than the NHS and minimum wage what have Labour done?
It could be argued by allowing union power to rise unchallenged they contributed to the annihilation of British industry?

Whilst, I would pay good money to watch the bailiffs remove his new sofa and furniture.
This is more likely to be a "supplier" who hasn't done what was wanted and Bojo will have dug his heels in.
CCJ's are as a result of someone who no longer has the ability to pay or, someone who doesn't feel that they should pay due to certain circumstances.
Much as I despise Bojo, he doesn't fit into the first category here.
Yes, a judgement has now been passed in court and he will have to cough up, probably very reluctantly but, this looks like another overblown "story".
They should keep digging though as I'm sure that they will find plenty of more serious misdemeanors.

| A CCJ means a judge agrees that the debt is due and he had a month to pay. I believe that was six months ago. I suppose he wanted to experience what life was like for many under a conservative government, the next thing is that he will be having to collect food from the Harrods food bank. The food hampers given by the Sultan of Brunei were recently confiscated because they broke the rules so he can no longer rely on them.

You're more bothered with people who aren't in power than the people who every day are making policy and crucial decisions affecting your life?
Don't you ever reflect and think maybe your priorities are wrong?

| The Tories and their allies have done a wonderful job of framing Labour as simultaneously being a bunch of dangerous leftist radicals and the defenders of a failing and out touch liberal establishment, while distancing themselves from the last decade of Tory-led government under performance. From a presentational POV it is kinda brilliant.
If I was offering Labour a you-can-sum-up-in-three-words policy, it’d be ‘end child poverty’ (one more syllable than is ideal and ending it is always going to be an aspiration, but as Rashford showed only the most massive twunts are cool with kids being hungry).

Ending child poverty would be huge and would be an admirable aim.
However, Labour needs to offer something that the masses can buy into, something that makes Mr Average think that its worth changing their voting preference for.
Even though there is very little happening, the "levelling up" from the Tories was an excellent move. Smoke and mirrors and the pretence that lives would improve. Very simple and very clever.
