Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
I'd love to visit Thailand, somewhere not full of rowdy backpackers but not somewhere in the sticks, a happy medium anyone any tips or know where's best and what time of year?

Have a read through this web site http://www.anachak.co.uk/index.php its written by a work colleague of mine who has travelled extensively in Thailand and has family connections there, what he doesn't know about the place, its traditions and how to behave properly there isn't worth knowing.

Koh Samui is an amazing place, just off the mainland. Do 3 or 4 nights in Bangkok as it's defo an experience, and then go to KS for 10 nights and enjoy the experience of chilling out and the beaches and the more relaxing side of Thailand.
enjoying the fresh air, moors and beaches of devon and cornwall

Make sure you visit Dorchester market, a real old fashioned market with lots of good food, household stuff and clothes.
Monkey World isn't far away and it's a decent day out, even better value if you use Tesco vouchers.
We're off to Cornwall again this year, either Perranporth or St Ives.

Nice to see cock measuring competitions are still in vogue.
Do you think so ?
I'm seeing lots of people saying that they are looking for cheap breaks, me included. Good luck to anyone who is young, has no home ties and has money to spend on world travel, do it, because you won't get a chance later.
For me I get a freebie few days in Portugal and I'm looking at renting a house somewhere (northumberland, lakes or scotland) for a couple of hundred quid so yes, I'm praying for a last minute deal, either that or fill the car up with that money and re-discover some of the remoter Dales (sounds like a good option).
