They need to stop putting Helen Whatley in front of the media. She is really poor and making the government look like it really doesn't know what it is doing.

It's like when Labour used to put Richard Burgon and Barry Gardiner in front of the cameras all the time. These people become the face of the party and the public forms an impression from them that is hard to shift.

I have a largely Tory-supporting family so use them as a bellweather for things that potentially shift the dial. Their default position is to always defend the Tory party and turn everything into "you think Labour would do any better??" but the two things I've noticed recently that have irked them are Cummings (they have signed all the petitions to get him out, can't understand why Boris doesn't ditch him) and Helen Whatley being crap.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

I agree they should stick to a few tried and tested: Gove, Sunak, Lewis, Duncan-smith, Schapps, Hancock.

That needs to be tempered by pointing out that herd immunity can be achieved by immunisation- assuming a vaccine is found and made available.

Also, just because restrictions aren’t put in place doesn’t mean people will just carry on as normal with no major hit to the economy.

People made much of Sweden not having a really bad death rate despite much more limited measures. However, I’ve seen numbers (on YouTube, admittedly) indicating that the impact on their economy hasn’t been much less than in Denmark. I suspect a level of personal preservation kicks In. Being alive is some consolation in a deep recession, a shallower recession isn’t so much if you’re dead.

So a vile letter from a labour mp accusing patell of gaslighting has been ignored by the millionaire champagne socialist leader of Labour.

I know Labour are at an all time low and close to being overtaken by the Lib Dem’s but could they actually stoop any lower?

I note that I am still waiting your reply to the above.

With regards your somewhat inaccurate statement regarding the position of the Labour Party I would remind you that it is their leader who is currently leading in the polls over the lazy lying PM whose only success is to blame others.
The Conservatives are responsible for the Windrush debacle which not surprisingly they have still not resolved including Priti Patel despite one of the famous altered reports that was produced highlighting the number of errors. The government are of course good at burying, changing or just ignoring any report they don’t like.
Russia - Still to be released
BAME - Large parts not released
SAGE Minutes- Many not released and those that were heavily redacted
2016 Pandemic Report Preparation- Buried
Brexit Impact - Buried

After weeks of the majority of the population either on furlough or out of work and therefore struggling financially what is Johnson’s economic idea, it is none other than the Vivian Nicholson principle “spend, spend spend”. That will help with personal debt when many have been struggling. I suppose he was not referring to those his party left behind.
