Hands up who wore a pair of those light and dark blue 'tartan' ones in the 80's ?!

I wore jeans all through my childhood. When I was about 25 I decided I was having nothing more to do with it and wore various kinds of combats, cords, and anything but jeans. There was even a regrettable period where I'd prefer these, which have now been re-purposed for their proper usage.

And then a few years ago I switched back, and I bet I haven't worn anything else since.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

And you used to colour the soles of your feet to blend in with them?

My issue with jeans is when they go all new fangled and start putting elasticated cuffs on the ankle. What the hell is that about. They just look ridiculous

I love them.

It can be a pain in the backside getting a pair of smart jeans that have are 'short' leg length, or 30'. If I have to get 32' then I have to have 'turn ups' at the bottom which don't always look particularly good, either that or ruin the bottom of them by having them drag along the floor.

The ones with the cuffs on the ankles are lovely and comfortable to wear on a daily basis and then bottoms of them don't have to be turned up either to avoid being ruined.

Cannot stand those horrible brown or green chino things people insist on wearing. Worse thing is, the sheepful youth of today (I'm only 23, having said that ) will see their mate buy a pair, and then the next day they're all wearing them. :SHOOT:

I suppose the only drawback, then, is how utterly stupid they look.

You're so lucky, you have no idea how much of a pain in the booty it is to find a pair of women's fit jeans in a 34 or 36 inside leg length. I spend most of my life wearing jeans and boots or turned up jeans and flat shoes just because they're not long enough!
