The funny thing is that one could cite the story of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah.



This is mentioned in Genesis 11–14 and 19.



The story of Noah and the flood, however, is mentioned in chapters 6–9.



So the Biblical flood came before all that stuff about men possibly wanting to shag other men, and being offered Lot's virgin daughters to rape instead, which is why Lot was the one good man who God saved.

I came out to my car earlier on today and it was in a 2 inch puddle, the whole car in a 2 inch puddle.

I was in Sainsbury's a few minutes ago and a woman asked me if it was still awful outside. I said it was still raining a little (I'd been stood out in biredwatching - wasn't too bad). Then she said it was really bad and counldn't remember anything like it. I said yes worst for a couple of weeks (I really meant days but didn't want to insult her) to which she seemed incredulous. Then she added "was there a tornado here yesterdsy, I was in the Midlands". I pointed out I'd been on the other side of the county myself yesterday but when I returned it had obviiously rained while I was away! Madness.
